There are no available registration dates at this time.
This workshop is for colorists, cinematographers, and editors who want to dive deeper into the art and craft of color correction and color grading for film and video. The class will be an introduction to advanced digital workflows using DaVinci Resolve. Utilizing a workshop atmosphere in combination with lectures, demonstrations and assignments, students will work with footage from a variety of projects including a wide variety of formats, codecs, and picture profiles. The primary focus is to maximize the image quality of the digital negative while creating looks that support the story and visual style of the project.
In addition to color correction and grading tools, we will also explore DaVinci Resolve’s abilities as an all-in-one platform for editing, sound mixing in Fairlight, and compositing with Fusion. A professional colorist will lead the instruction and guide the students through the assignments while providing valuable feedback on their grades and their workflow.
Students in this class must have a solid understanding of the digital color grading workflow from initial Resolve setup and color theory to node structures and delivery, as well as color management, file structure, compression, and calibration and monitoring for broadcast quality standards.
In addition to be offered on an individual basis, this course is an optional elective in the Editing and Post Production Intensive
This Course is a Follow-Up to the Davinci Resolve 1-Week Introductory Workshop
