Welcome to Gelli Plate printing! It’s so much fun you won’t be able to stop!
This is a super easy process to make exquisite prints and decorated papers right at home. No previous printing knowledge is necessary to produce gorgeous, multi-hued, textured papers that can then enhance your collages, sketchbooks, greeting cards, gift tags or be a stand-alone piece of art. Each day the instructor will demonstrate a variety of techniques for use with the Gelli Plate. Then students will spend time experimenting with colors, techniques, layering and making their own stencils. We will end the week by making a soft-spine journal with a combination of hand and machine stitching using the fabulous papers made during the week.
Feel free to bring any of your favorite or special materials, papers, and/or unconventional tools. Otherwise all materials will be provided. This workshop is open to any skill level and would be great for educators, parents and teenagers, artists, and designers.
