AVID Pro Tools is groundbreaking software for audio engineers and sound designers. This platform continues to evolve each year and expand its robust capabilities, making it an industry standard for Music and Post Production. This 2-day Advanced Protools workshop follows the 2-day Basic Pro Tools workshop that introduced you to the fundamental principles and concepts of Pro Tools. This high level course expands upon the basic principles taught in the 2-day Basic Pro Tools workshop and introduces the advanced concepts and skills students need to professionally operate a Pro Tools 12 system. The material is geared towards students who have a solid understanding of Pro Tools’ primary functions, but whose experience may be limited in some areas. You will build on your knowledge of Pro Tools. The workshop addresses typical conditions that you might encounter when working on real-world projects, configurations with complex routing and advanced input and output (I/O) use, and mixing and editing situations that require specialized features of Pro Tools software. This workshop is presented in an on-line format by a certified ACI Avid instructor. Students leave the course with the advanced skills and knowledge needed to fully utilize this powerful software.

Walter Clissen has 25+ years of experience in all aspects of the audio world. Born in Belgium and working in venues and studios all over Europe, he moved to Los Angeles, CA where he established a very successful professional career as an engineer and producer. Walter’s international professional endeavors as Producer, Recording Engineer, Live Sound Engineer, Sound Designer, and Audio Post Production include recent new Classical, Latin, and Christmas albums by international recording artist Jose Feliciano, surround audio mixes on the Blu-ray release ‘Live in Tel Aviv, Israel’ and the Classical album ‘Mozart Castrato Arias’; post-production work on independent movie releases and sound designs that have been heard internationally in Theatre and Opera houses, including Stephen Schwartz’s new musical ‘My Fairy Tale’.
