Laurie Klein gained acclaim and recognition as an infrared and black and white portrait photographer photographing the female form in the environment. She has been teaching for more than 30 years, and her work has appeared in hundreds of publications and numerous gallery exhibitions. Laurie has authored 4 books, including Hand Coloring Black and White Photography, The Female Form with Digital Infrared and co-author of 2 editions of Infrared Photography: Artistic Techniques for Brilliant Images. She is working on a new book of hand coloring in the digital age. Her work has appeared in hundreds of publications and has a life-long record of gallery exhibitions. She has been teaching for over 30 years.

Laurie will be on campus teaching Photographing The Female Form in the Maine Landscape the week of this lecture (JUL 31–AUG 4), and Introduction to the Hand Colored Photograph later in the summer (SEP 4–8).

Jean “Gino” Miele’s photographs explore the borderlands between fiction and reality, and reflect his lifelong interest in perception, spirituality and mysticism. His images remind us that moments of perfection are possible, and that we create our own reality. He believes every photograph is an act of transformation, and that the photographs we make tell us more about ourselves than about what was in front of the lens. Miele’s photographs have appeared in thousands of publications. His artwork has been exhibited internationally, and acquired by collectors worldwide. Gino has taught for Adobe, Apple, ICP, Fuji, Anderson Ranch, and many others. His primary goals are to demystify digital technique and empower students to realize their own photographic vision.

Gino will be on campus teaching Finding Your Photographic Voice the week of this lecture (JUL 31–AUG 4).
