Rick Berg has represented many accomplished writers, directors, and producers.  Having started his career as an agent before becoming a manager, he has a deep understanding of how agents and managers work in representing a client’s interests.

Among other things, Rick will discuss how to get an agent or manager, how their roles differ, the dynamics of pitching to producers, studios, and networks, how and when to connect talent to a package to increase its desirability in the marketplace, how deals are negotiated and structured, and the role played by lawyers.  He will also shed light on large agencies vs. boutique agencies and how to know which one is right for you, maintain an effective relationship with your representative, keep your career goals in mind, and navigate the changing dynamics of a complicated marketplace.

Leave with a new sense of how to work with representatives to get your work sold and produced.
