Rick Berg is a founding partner of Code Entertainment, a Beverly Hills-based management/production company that produces film and television and represents writers and directors. Their management clients write and direct for both independent and major studios, and have helped create or launch such projects as Frozen, The Office, Wreck-It Ralph, He’s Just Not That Into You, On The Road, The Motorcycle Diaries, Proof, and The Twilight Zone.
In addition to managing clients’ careers, Rick also produces projects for film and television. Recently he produced CBS All Access’ new incarnation of The Twilight Zone, created by Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg, and he is an Executive Producer of the upcoming CNN documentary series about Watergate. His other producing credits include the Warner Bros. feature Spring Breakdown starring Amy Poehler and Parker Posey, and the Oxygen reality series The Naughty Kitchen. Rick also packaged the NBC series Outsourced, the Showtime series Happyish, and the animated series Grimsburg for Fox. Most recently, Code Entertainment produced The Ice Road (Netflix) starring Liam Neeson.
Prior to the creation of Code, Rick worked as a Literary Agent at Writers & Artists where he sold dozens of projects including Traveler, The Art Of War, The Rock, Double Jeopardy, and Pinero.
He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkley, School of Law.
