Feeling stuck? Uninspired? Looking for ways to wrap your corporate or government writing projects around a solid concept that generates strong interest and engagement?
If you’re a writer or producer working in marketing, or corporate/government communications – and you could you use some inspiration to craft multichannel experiences that resonate – this class was made for you.
We’ll cover the fundamentals of effective B2B and B2C communications, providing a host of tips and techniques designed to grab the audience’s attention. We’ll also show you how to brainstorm a strong central idea and spin it into everything from Facebook carousels to corporate videos, websites, emails, and more.
- We survey each class beforehand to customize the syllabus based on their needs
- We bring in writers and communication SMEs from business and government to share their perspectives and insights
- One of them briefs us on a challenge they’re currently dealing with as the basis for the in-class assignment
You’ll get to work on a project for a client with a real business need, develop the big idea, several multichannel executions and then pitch it in a virtual meeting. It will take your writing and presentation skills to a whole new level.

Bob specializes in developing positioning, messaging and internal communications for some of the world’s best known brands, including American Express, ANN INC., Avon, HSBC, Mondelēz, Roche, T. Rowe Price, UBS, Unilever, and many others. On a parallel track, he has a special love for teaching and has conducted onsite writing workshops for clients (including Charles Schwab and Raytheon) and guest lectures in advertising at his alma mater, Seton Hall University. Bob holds bachelor degrees in communication and English and a master’s degree in English from Seton Hall.
