This workshop is designed to stretch your creative muscles! Guided by Keri Schroeder, through a series of creative exercises, we will explore methods of developing stories, integrating text + imagery, and finding the right book structure for your content. Exercises will touch on creative writing, planning and research, and hands-on making. Participants will gain new tools for their creative ideation toolkit, and spark ideas for future projects. This workshop is appropriate for all skill levels, from the book art curious to artists looking for a creative boost. Discussion and sharing are encouraged, however, interactive participation is entirely up to your individual comfort level.

A materials kit is provided with tuition – Please include your mailing address with the registration.

Tools Required:

  • Scissors or X-Acto knife
  • Gluestick or PVA and glue brush
  • Notebook for writing exercises
  • Colored pencils, pens, or any mark-making utensils
  • 8.5” x 11” text weight copy paper
