Explore the world of botanical photography in the studio and in various gardens throughout lovely Mid Coast Maine. We will experiment with a range of digital photography tools and techniques including macro photography, simple lighting options and black and white conversions. Students will also learn to create a simple and affordable home studio for photographing plants indoors. This course is about visual exploration, so come prepared to play in the studio, to look at gardens in new ways, and to try your hand at still life photography with a focus on flowers, foliage and seedpods.
