This short one-day community engagement class will offer step by step demonstrations on how to construct a sturdy and chic presentation box. Please bring the item that you want to house in your custom-made case. Supplies will be provided, but please bring any specialty paper, bookcloth or ribbon that you may want to use.

Richard Reitz Smith is the Book Arts Program Chair and Studio Manager at Maine Media. He is an artist trained as a graphic designer and excels in marrying traditional techniques with modern technology in the pursuit of all forms of book arts and letterpress printing.
