Find the portal that allows you to inhabit a character. With the guidance of an accomplished
actor and coach, performers will explore the relationship between character and self. You’ll
learn how to embrace the discomfort you feel in front of a camera, and take command of what
you’re feeling or fighting and make it work for you.
Explore concrete tools that prepare actors to meet the technical demands of working
professionally on camera, focusing on techniques to help you feel competent and spontaneous.
Scene work will be taped and students will review their footage in class.
You will leave the week with video of your scenes.
Directors and writers wishing to increase their understanding of performance and character dynamics are welcome and encouraged to register.
