At one time or another we have all gotten conflicting feedback about our images, which can leave us scratching our heads. How do we sift through these sometimes confusing comments to find what is truly relevant to us and the improvement of our images? Rather than sorting through feedback that doesn’t feel quite right, learning how to evaluate our own work can be infinitely valuable on many levels.  Everything that we need to know about direction and growth is embedded in the work we are currently creating.  Learning to self-critique is one of the most important ways we have of understanding our direction, what we value, care about, and judge as aligned to our vision.  In other words, through self-critique, we explore ways to achieve a deeper understanding of our selves.  Listening to others about our work is essential, but equally important is evaluating that feedback to ensure that it resonates with our direction and goals.

The workshop will use presentations as an introduction to evaluating and talking about images. The students will use their own images in this class.
