This intensive crash-course introduces you to the fundamentals of Pro Tools, and brings you through the essential skills and knowledge needed to bring a project from initial set-up to final mix-down.

Lectures and demos work in conjunction with hands-on exercises where students practice working with audio media in Pro Tools, become familiar with its tools and interface, and experiment with creating multi-track mixes, and sound design.

Students leave the course with the skills and knowledge needed to start working with this powerful software.

This course is a recommended prerequisite for all those taking “Creative Sound Design for Film & TV“.

Walter Clissen has 25+ years of experience in all aspects of the audio world. Born in Belgium and working in venues and studios all over Europe, he moved to Los Angeles, CA where he established a very successful professional career as an engineer and producer. Walter’s international professional endeavors as Producer, Recording Engineer, Live Sound Engineer, Sound Designer, and Audio Post Production include recent new Classical, Latin, and Christmas albums by international recording artist Jose Feliciano, surround audio mixes on the Blu-ray release ‘Live in Tel Aviv, Israel’ and the Classical album ‘Mozart Castrato Arias’; post-production work on independent movie releases and sound designs that have been heard internationally in Theatre and Opera houses, including Stephen Schwartz’s new musical ‘My Fairy Tale’.
