Get introduced to the albumen process in our historic process lab. We will work with the albumen techniques and formulas from the 19th century using egg albumen and silver and gold toners to make prints of subtle beauty. You will learn how to prepare albumen emulsions and apply it to paper and how to handle the intricacies of this demanding and elegant process.

Lunch each day is included. Lodging is available on campus $75/night, private room & bath.

Instructor: Brenton Hamilton

Brenton holds his MFA in photography from the Savannah College of Art & Design. His teaching specialties include, B&W Craft,  Historic Processes, and the History of Photography. Brenton is an enthusiastic workshop leader exhibiting special care and interest in the teaching process and experience for his students.
