Richard’s long list of credits as a production sound mixer in film and television include The Terminator, Lost, House, Some Kind of Beautiful, CBGB, Dirty Sexy Money, Life as a House, A Thousand Acres, Mrs. Winterbourne, The Net, Outbreak, Don Juan DeMarco, Children of a Lesser God, Men of a Certain Age, and many others. Recently, he finished the second season of the award-winning Dear White People for Netflix.  

Richard served as the President of the Cinema Audio Society (2003-2006) after nineteen years on the board of directors. He is a former board member of IATSE Local 695 and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. He is also managing editor of Production Sound & Video, the quarterly magazine of IATSE local 695. He began his career in film sound mixing in Montreal, receiving four Genie nominations from the Academy of Canadian Cinema before relocating to Los Angeles in 1983.
