Julie Gaynin is a freelance documentary film editor based in New York City. Most recently, Julie worked on the film MATANGI/MAYA/M.I.A. (recently at Sundance, Berlin Film Festival, and New Directors/ New Films), about the controversial pop star. She is currently working on the film, INSTANT LIFE, which tells the story of Yolanda Signorelli von Braunhut, heiress to the iconic aquatic toy Amazing Live Sea Monkeys. Julie teaches editing workshops at DCTV (Downtown Community Television Center), among other institutions.
