BILL PANKOW, A.C.E. has edited ten films directed by Brian DePalma (including “The Untouchables,” “Carlito’s Way,” “Casualties of War,” “Body Double,” “Bonfire of the Vanities,” “Femme Fatale,” “The Black Dahlia,” “Snake Eyes,” and “Redacted”) and three for which he served as Associate Editor (“Scarface,” “Dressed to Kill,” and “Wise Guys”).  He is currently editing De Palma’s “ Domino” starring Carice van Houten and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (“Game of Thrones”).

He has worked with such noted filmmakers as Abel Ferrara, Robert Benton, Paul Schrader, Jean-Francois Richet, and acclaimed Hong Kong filmmakers Tsui Hark and  Ringo Lam.

His television credits include HBO’s “Treme,” “ Tales from the Dark Side,” “Tribeca,” “The Equalizer,” and the HBO feature “Undefeated” for actor/director John Leguizamo.  He was the supervising editor on the Emmy Award winning HBO miniseries “The Corner,” for which he received an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award nomination. His most recent television project was the Nat Geo series “Mars.”

He also edited the DePalma-directed music video for Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark.”

Bill is an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Editing at New York University’s Kanbar Institute of Film and Television, as well has having been a guest lecturer at Bard, CCNY, and Manhattan Edit Workshop.  He is a member of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Académie des Arts et Techniques Du Cinema, American Cinema Editors and Motion Picture Editors Guild.
