We learned recently that our friend and colleague Roger Mandle passed away last weekend. An academic leader, educator, art historian, museum executive, painter and member of the National Committee for Education Standards in the Arts and the National Council on the Arts, Mandle devoted his life to arts, culture and humanities education. His commitment helped shape the art and design agenda in this country and internationally over many decades. As a member of Maine Media’s Board of Directors from 2016-2018, Roger was always available to provide his counsel and considerable insight, particularly important as MMW+C sought accreditation. We were fortunate to have had his advice, guidance, and humor. We will miss him greatly. 12/2/2020
