Experience the robust capabilities of Canon's flagship Cinema cameras

There are no available registration dates at this time.

In this hands-on course, students work with the robust and capable C-Series from Canon. Through lectures and demonstrations, led by a career cinematographer with an extensive background shooting Canon, the class will discuss and experience the benefits and nuances of the various models in the series, including the EOS C700, Canon’s flagship cinema camera.

Through group exercises, students practice composing and executing shots while familiarizing themselves with the multitude of settings available to them, including uncompressed RAW recording and high frame rates of 120fps and above.

Following initial lecture, demo, exercise, and critique, students will conceptualize, shoot, and edit visually-focused short films, affording them the opportunity to experiment creatively with their new knowledge and skills, and produce original cinematic work. An array of cinema lenses will also be available to students during both exercises and final projects.

Final short films will be edited and screened at the Friday Showcase of student work.
