Doing it in the dark gets better with practice. This week will provide individuals with 5 full days of supervised darkroom printing to help each individual achieve their vision. Daily demonstrations in advanced printing techniques such as working with split-filters, toning/split-toning and explorations in aesthetic choices via a selection of fiber-based papers, developers, and toners participants will reinvigorate their darkroom practice.
This course is for those individuals looking at pushing their Black and White darkroom practice to the next level.

Deanna Witman is an is an award-winning artist-educator exhibiting nationally and internationally. She is an Assistant Professor at Unity College and an instructor at Maine Media Workshops, Rockport, Maine. She is Managing Editor of Hawk & Handsaw-The Journal of Creative Sustainability, Unity College’s literary and visual arts journal.
