Class meets for 7 Saturdays, Oct 21, 28, Nov 11, 18, Dec 2, 9 & 16 from 10am-1pm ET (Please note that sessions are not consecutive).

This workshop offers foundation-level training in Audio Post Production for TV and film.

Audio Post Production is the general term for all stages of audio production happening between the actual recording on location or in a studio and the completion of a final project. It involves Production Dialogue Editing, ADR, Foley recording, Background and Sync FX, Recording, Sound Design, Music Editing, and Mixing (re-recording). All of it is presented via live Zoom sessions with an expert instructor.

Prerequisite:

Anyone wishing to take this course should take 2-Day Pro Tools (Oct 14-15) or have a basic knowledge of Pro Tools. Students will need to have AVID Pro Tools software on their computers. A free 30 Day Trial of the software is available here.

Audio Post Production Workshop software requirements: 

  • A computer capable of running Pro Tools 2022.4 (and above) with adequate drive space to complete the workshop exercises and projects. 
  • A reliable internet connection is recommended as well as a webcam/mic to better facilitate communication with the instructor. 
  • For this workshop, you’ll need a system that can run the Pro Tools software.
