Product Photography is essential for any small business, whether in-store or online.

Suited to business owners and photographers wanting to include a product photography offering, this 2-Day workshop will show you how to make the right first impression with potential customers and convert more clicks to sales.

Regardless of the equipment you’re using, whether smartphone, mirrorless, or DSLR, you’ll gain insight and understanding into how to make products stand out with photography that brings them to life.

You will learn:

  • Lighting – flash, strobe, natural light and improvised solutions.
  • Styling and incorporating props.
  • Using a Seamless background.
  • Using Reflectors and Diffusers.
  • Post Processing.

Students should come with the camera equipment they are comfortable with, ready to photograph during in-class assignments.

Lunch each day is included. Lodging is available on campus $75/night, private room & bath.

Instructor: Terri Lea Smith

Terri Lea Smith is a freelance photographer and videographer from the Phoenix area. She has produced documentary and commercial work for companies such as International Rescue Committee, USA Today, Flavorpill.com, Arizona State University, PHOENIX magazine and Global Family Philanthropy. In 2012 she earned a B.A. in Journalism with a concentration in Digital Media from the Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Originally born and raised in Alabama, she has a love of documentary work inspired by the people and landscape of the Southeastern U.S. that call attention to the color and richness of life.
