This workshop is a weekend-long introduction to digital color correction and grading using DaVinci Resolve. Utilizing a workshop atmosphere in combination with lectures and demonstrations, students will take their first steps toward a technical understanding of the art and craft of color correction and grading for digital video.

The class covers the digital color grading workflow from initial resolve setup and color theory to node structures and delivery.  Students learn the tools and nuances of color matching and how to bring projects to the next level with graded looks.

Lunch is included for both days, other meals are on your own.  Lodging is available for $75 per night.

Instructor: Alex Burnett (June Dates)

Alex Burnett is a New England-based filmmaker and editor who has worked within the worlds of narrative fiction, documentary, experimental cinema, and virtual reality. Having worked as an editor for National Geographic, the NFL, Colgate University, Vitec Group, and Schiempflüg NYC, he has had the opportunity to work with a vast range of companies and artists. His passion lies within his desire to creatively tell stories, and to tackle the many challenges that come with telling the stories using the medium of filmmaking.
