Join us for this intense 2-day course as we dive into the magic of the collodion process! You will learn the process to create these one of a kind images both in the field and the 19th century darkroom. Chemistry, exposure, and field techniques will all be covered in this intense and exciting class. While working with our resident photo historian, Brenton Hamilton, you will create collodion works on both tin and glass. In our Alternative Processes lab you will learn how to develop your plates by hand, varnish and hand tint them creating beautiful and timeless finished works.
Lunch each day is included. Lodging is available on campus $75/night, private room & bath.

Brenton holds his MFA in photography from the Savannah College of Art & Design. His teaching specialties include, B&W Craft, Historic Processes, and the History of Photography. Brenton is an enthusiastic workshop leader exhibiting special care and interest in the teaching process and experience for his students.
