Explore the possibilities of adding calligraphy and hand lettering to your books.

There are no available registration dates at this time.

The workshop begins by making paste papers which will be the colorful base for your writing. We will practice the fundamentals of calligraphy and mark making using sticks, brushes, pens, and assorted non-traditional tools. We will discuss page layout/design and letter forms. Learn how to use a variety of inks and papers. Each student will work towards creating an original broadside, sewn booklet, or hanging accordion featuring the hand lettering skills they’ve learned.

Lunch each day is included. Lodging is available on campus $75/night, private room & bath.
