| 2-Day: Intro to Adobe InDesign (Online)

Dive into Adobe InDesign with this 2-day online workshop that encompasses the basics for anyone wanting to learn this industry-standard software for the first time with guidance from an industry professional.

Note: This workshop will be held in a live, online format utilizing the Zoom platform.
Class meets on Tuesday & Thursday, Sep 10 & 12 from 9am-3pm ET (with 1-hour lunch break).

This remote workshop teaches participants the ins and outs of Adobe’s extensive design program. From importing graphics and using master pages to formatting text and using styles, this course encompasses the basics for anyone diving into this industry-standard software for the first time.

Students work to refine their skills both technically and creatively. Participants view many examples of successful design as well as the workflow to accomplish similar projects. The two days will be filled with exercises, and address topics such as page elements, managing styles, working with paths, incorporating external files, managing long documents, and pre-flighting and packaging files for print and web publishing.

As this is an introductory course, the bulk of our time will be devoted to learning the basic tools available in the program.

Course Requirements:

Students will need to have Adobe Indesign on their home computers. Try this 7-day free trial download of InDesign if you do not already have the program!

Computer literacy is also required.
