Together, Maine Media and Carl Zeiss USA Partner to Sponsor the Precision Image Competition.

The Precision Image Competition (PiC) is an opportunity for all Maine Media students to experience the unparalleled image quality of Zeiss lenses while challenging themselves to create new still and moving pictures for a dynamic competition.

Every year, Zeiss provides a wide selection of lenses for still and cinema cameras for students to “test-drive” while on campus. Students are invited to submit their work made with these lenses to the competition, in two categories: 1) Still Images (any genre, from fine art to documentary to commercial) or 2) Short Films (documentary and/or narrative).

The grand prize winner in each category wins a Zeiss lens of their choice from the Batis, Loxia, Touit, Milvus, Classics, or ZM line, plus a voucher for a free workshop at Maine Media.

Winners will be announced in December.
