Just a short walk from our campus, our namesake gallery is an intimate space where we showcase work by our students, alumni, faculty, and other innovative Maine artists. Over the summer, we host book signings, exhibition openings, and artist talks. In addition to the rotating exhibits on view, the gallery has an incredible selection of work made by our renowned faculty that are available for sale.

Classes may arrange for a gallery visit and tour by contacting [email protected]

Tim Whelan’s Bookstore

The gallery is also home to Timothy Whelan’s Bookstore, a local favorite and a highlight for many of our students. Tim’s selection of photo books is full of classics and soon-to-be favorites, plus plenty of books signed by published MMW faculty. You’ll find something new each time you visit, so stop by to browse the books or just chat with Tim.
