Richard Lightstone began his career in film sound mixing in Montreal, Canada in 1971. Receiving four Genie nominations from the Academy of Canadian Cinema, Why Shoot The Teacher 1977, The Third Walker 1978, Meatballs 1980 and Draw 1985.

Mr. Lightstone relocated to Los Angeles in 1983, where he continues his career in Production Sound Mixing. Some of Richard’s television credits include The Night Stalker, Dirty Sexy Money and Lost.

Mr. Lightstone’s feature film credits include The Terminator, Agnes of God, Children of a Lesser God, Cocktail, Stanley & Iris, The Freshman, Mermaids, Don Juan DeMarco, Milk Money, Outbreak, A Thousand Acres, Life As A House and Home of The Brave.

Richard served as the President of the Cinema Audio Society (2003 – 2006) after nineteen years on the board of directors. Mr. Lightstone is currently a board member of IATSE Local 695 and co-editor of the 695 Quarterly magazine.
