Maryanne Culpepper is an award-winning writer/filmmaker with extensive experience in developing and delivering high-profile specials and series for US and international broadcasters and digital platforms.  She is the former President of National Geographic Television and previously served as EVP of Development and Business Affairs there, handling development, production, financing and sales for some 100+ programming hours annually.  An experienced writer and visual storyteller, she has supervised hundreds of films and non-fiction programming on topics in science, urban and contemporary culture, history and the natural world.  She specializes in crafting strong story arcs, developing formats, and identifying strong characters and on-camera talent. She is currently producing a film in Mozambique and executive producing a feature documentary.  She is also an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University teaching development, writing and production of films about the natural world.
