Lucy Johnson is a fine art photographer living in Kentucky. She attended Gulf Park College in Mississippi and the University of Kentucky.
From 1982 until 1985 Lucy was studio manage for famed portrait photographer Arnold Newman in New York City. In that capacity Lucy assisted with commercial assignments and darkroom printing. Lucy's commercial clients include IBM, AT@T, Forbes, Lears, Institutional Investor, Premiere, Scholastic, Fortune and a number of annual reports.
Lucy as also done freelance assisting for Michael O'Neill, Neil Selkirk, Bob Sacha, Joe Mcnally and printed for Grieg Heisler. Teaching experience includes The Workshops, The University of Kentucky, International Center For Photography, South Florida Photo Workshops, Parsons and the New School in New York City.
Lucy also received the Al Smith Fellowship from the Kentucky Arts Council. She is a devoted and dedicated teacher as well as an outstanding photographer in her own right.
