Compensation: $12.00 per hour, part-time, 3 days/week plus meals when campus kitchen is serving (Sunday dinner through Friday dinner).

The responsibilities of this position are carried out under the guidance of the Director of Marketing & Communications. The Media Producer spends days capturing video and still images of characteristic aspects of the various types of workshops on and off campus. Applicants must be creative, responsible and have knowledge of the practical aspects of Canon equipment, maintenance and operation. The Media Producer needs to be able to communicate well with faculty, teaching assistants, and Maine Media staff so that they know exactly what’s happening in the workshops during each week in order to capture the highlights in ways that are useful for both the Friday night showcase and marketing initiatives.

Basic Qualifications and Criteria
  • Professional experience in the preparation of photo & video presentation
  • Editing experience
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve
  • Knowledge of Lightroom and Photoshop
Media Producer Experience

The Media Producer creates content to be used for social media posts, future catalog and other BTS marketing imagery, marketing videos, and other marketing applications. The Media Producer oversees and works closely with the staff photographer intern, giving this individual creative learning experiences and feedback on their work. The Media Producer helps to produce aspects of the Friday night show that reflect the experiences that students have had in their workshops. This individual is at the hub of the workshops experience, capturing great imagery in both still and video formats.
