Kim Dana Kupperman is the series editor of The Best American Essays and former managing editor/conference coordinator at The Gettysburg Review. She is the author of the award-winning essay collection, I Just Lately Started Buying Wings: Missives from the Other Side of Silence (2010), The Last of Her: A Forensic Memoir (2016), and the historical novel Six Thousand Miles to Home (2018); the lead editor of YOU: An Anthology of Essays Devoted to the Second Person (2013); and the publisher of Essaying the Essay (2014). She has taught creative writing at Fairfield University, Fordham University, Johns Hopkins, and West Virginia Wesleyan and worked as an editor for periodical publications for over forty years.
