Paid Time Off (PTO)

Paid Time Off (PTO) is to provide Maine Media employees with flexible paid time off from work. PTO can be used for holidays, vacation, personal or family illness, doctor appointments, school, volunteerism, and other activities of the employee's choice.

Health Insurance

Maine Media offers full-time (minimum 32 hours per week); year-round employees, to participate in Maine Media's health insurance plan, Harvard Pilgrim Maine’s Choice Plus HMO HSA.

Health Insurance Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)

Maine Media is proud to offer a Health Insurance Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) to employees enrolled in Maine Media's Health Insurance policy at no cost.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - Optional

As part of the organizations Section 125 plan, all employees that work a minimum of 20 hours per week, year-round are eligible to contribute to a Flexible Spending Account administered by Group Dynamic Inc. Enrollment if voluntary.

Retirement - 401(k)

Maine Media is pleased to offer a 401(k) retirement benefit to year-round employees. Participation in Maine Media’s retirement plan is voluntary. To be eligible to join the 401(k) Plan, an employee must complete 1,000 hours in 12 months of service and be 21 years of age or older.

Dental Insurance - Optional

Maine Media offers employees that work a minimum of 20 hours per week, year-round to participate in the Preferred Plus Dental Plan with Northeast Delta Dental. Enrollment if voluntary.

Group Life and AD&D Insurance

Maine Media offers employees that work a minimum of 20 hours per week, year-round to receive a $25,000 benefit life and AD&D insurance at no cost to the employee. There is additional optional life and AD&D insurance for the employee and dependents at a cost to the employee.

Health Insurance Notices

It is imperative to properly administer all of the legal documentation requirements under the DOL, PPACA, ERISA, COBRA and HIPAA. These are required notices that must be available to all health insurance eligible employees.
