This Workshop breaks down the most advanced Photoshop workflows for bringing out the best in your color and B&W photography. During this Workshop you’ll learn to extend your technical reach; and you will acquire the skills to apply more than just Photoshop basics to your photography. By the end of the week you’ll have mastered new and more powerful Photoshop techniques, including:

  • Create classic chemical toning looks
  • Apply color schemes that evoke emotion and story
  • Use color palettes from art or nature to stylize your photography

You’ll begin the week working with color – You will work with a step-by-step breakdown of the multiple techniques Steve uses to make stunning visual statements by manipulating color. Incorporating the ideas of color theory and color themes, the course goes over both the conceptual and practical use of color.

Then you will master black-and-white conversions – You will learn how to add depth, how to split-tone, and how to use advanced black-and-white techniques available in Photoshop and in Lightroom. With your new skills you’ll be able to create black-and-white looks and styles from scratch.

With Steve’s guidance and hands-on practice, you’ll learn how Steve uses Blending Modes and Blending Options, the Camera Raw filter, Curves as a color adjustment, Layers, Masks, Calculations, Gradient Map, Color Lookup (3DLUT) exports, and other hidden yet powerful features of Adobe Photoshop.
