Large format digital printers have made it possible for photographers to work in a size that was only previously feasible through high-end custom labs. In this workshop students learn to achieve the best results with these printers by photographing and working with large high-resolution images.
This hands-on workshop looks at the digital workflow from image capture through processing and printing with special attention to the requirements of high-resolution imaging. Students have the opportunity to examine the challenges of printing on a large scale and the detailed precision needed in retouching these images in Photoshop. A variety of different printing technologies will be discussed while actual prints will be made on the large format printers available at the Workshops.
Students are required to shoot digital with a DSLR camera of at least 12 megapixels.
