Interlace aesthetics and technical craft to further your artistic vision and technical accomplishment

Ken MartinInterlace aesthetics and technical craft to further artistic vision and accomplishment. During this intensive course, students engage their personal vision through an investigation of the various aspects of photographic imagery. Slide lectures, critiques, and demonstrations enable students to broaden their knowledge base both technically and aesthetically.

The conceptual elements of this class complement the technical aspects of black & white photography, including the sophisticated grasp of exposure, the processing controls for film, and an in-depth discussion of fine print making.

Students photograph daily, putting methods, concepts, and instruction from class into practice. Students complete the course with a greater understanding of the technical tools needed to execute their artistic vision.

Students should have basic understanding of the fundamentals used in the darkroom prior to this class.

This class is part of a multi-course sequence and may qualify for a discounted tuition of 10%.  Contact registrar@mainemedia.edu for details
