Master the creative vision to produce exemplary still lifes in the studio and on location

©Judd Pilossof

Spend a week exploring coastal Maine in this new workshop combining food and travel photography. Learn to create images of food and location that are compelling, spontaneous, and unique. A variety of locations are selected such as farmers markets, restaurants, country inns and other food adventures during the week.

Discussions include composition, propping, food styling and much, much more. Judd can help advance your careers by showing you better ways of presenting your work and selling your images. Each day we review the images produced by the participants and try to develop a story around them.

Learn the technical, creative process and business of the food and travel story telling. Most of the week is spent shooting with available or natural light but we also spend time understanding how to use artificial lighting equipment provided by the workshops.

The workshop is structured for culinary professional, cookbook authors, food bloggers, travel enthusiasts and photography .

Medium format or 35mm digital cameras are all welcomed. Students are encouraged to bring a laptop for image processing.
