Creating and Marketing a Successful Photography Project

© Restless CollectiveThis workshop is for anyone who has ever had an idea for a photo project, but wasn’t sure where to start or how to make their dream a reality. We brainstorm, edit, and help you to expand and polish individual project ideas and develop plans that takes you all the way through to final production and marketing. We show you how to take advantage of new doors opening in the rapidly changing world of arts funding, and utilize innovative technologies to get your project seen. Other topics covered are writing successful grant proposals, understanding and using crowd-funding, harnessing the power of social media, approaching private and corporate funders, and successfully sharing your project with the world.

This workshop is a combination of collaborative work sessions as well as personalized plans and guidance. We sit down with each participant to ensure specific success plans and target individual participant's goals. By the end of the week, students emerge empowered and inspired to bring their photography project to life.

Alan and Morrigan have spent the past five years designing and executing two long-term photographic projects that they have shown and lectured about internationally. Alan is a sought-after instructor in digital image-making and fine art printing. Morrigan is an award-winning photographer and writer with extensive experience editing, curating, and marketing.
