With the proliferation of tablets, e-readers, and other mobile devices, the ability to add interactivity to publications is becoming not just a possibility but a necessity for people and institutions wishing to reach the broadest population possible with compelling content.
Using your existing Adobe® InDesign® skills, you can create a rich and engaging interactive experience for the iPad — without writing code. With Adobe InDesign and your Creative Cloud membership, you can submit unlimited single edition iPad apps to the Apple App Store.
Adobe's Digital Publishing Suite allows the traditional print designer to easily incorporate interactive features into their InDesign projects. Established print publications are reworked. Interactive elements including buttons, slideshows, virtual panoramas, pan and zoom features, Adobe Edge animations, audio, and video elements converge to produce media-rich tablet experiences.
In this week-long workshop, you will learn the ins and outs of using the Folio Overlay and Folio Builder panels. You will create your own app and learn how to submit it to Apple's App Store. You will create both single and multiple .folio files and you will create both horizontal and vertical layouts. Students should have a working knowledge of InDesign. Students should bring an iPad and cables.
