There are few things as joyful as the ability to delve deep and explore a subject through images. Photographic and mulit-media projects have the power to transform the artist as well as the viewer, and a solid framework for a project allows it to reach its maximum potential.
For this class, bring a project that you’ve already begun, or an idea that you’d like to develop. Over the three days we’ll develop our ideas and projects, learning about new tools and technology that can help the modern photographic/mulit-media project to be successful. New doors are opening in the rapidly changing world of arts funding, and innovative technologies have changed the way photographs can be shared with the public. This workshop will also look at writing grant proposals, understanding and using crowd-funding, harnessing the power of social media, approaching private and corporate funders, and successfully sharing your project (and your passion) with the world.
This workshop will be a combination of collaborative work sessions as well as personalized plans and guidance. By the end of the weekend participants will emerge empowered and inspired to take their work to the next level.
