Learn techniques essential for generating high quality digital prints by exploring the relationship between image processing software like Adobe Lightroom and your printer. This course covers the basics of digital color and black & white printing, how to process images for print, common problems digital photographers encounter, and how to develop a cohesive personal workflow for consistent output. Students generate and print images on luster paper using Epson or Canon printers. Instruction includes lectures, demonstrations, critiques, and hands-on exercises.
What you need for this workshop:
Students will be required to bring a small body of digital work for this workshop. File size must be at least 1680 x 1200 for practical printing use. File formats of .jpg, .psd, or .tiff are required. This workshop will be in one of our digital labs outfitted with Macintosh computers. Knowledge of the Macintosh operating system is encouraged.
Lunch is included; other meals are on your own. Lodging is available on campus, private room & bath. $75/night
