Getting a new digital camera can bring much joy, with the idea of being able to capture timeless images with amazing quality and ease. Frustration may follow on how to get those beautiful scenes to actually show up on the back of the camera, or on the computer.
This workshop teaches the basics of camera controls and file management. In this two-day course students will learn how to set-up and use their camera. Next it's time to learn what to do with the files after capture. Adobe Lightroom is an easy and powerful computer program that any photographer may use to import, process, and export images for use in emails, photo websites, social media and much more. Participants will be working in one of Maine Media’s digital labs with Macintosh computers, to learn Lightroom software, after learning digital camera basics.
No prior knowledge of photography is required to attend. Basic computer skills are required, Macintosh preferred.
Please bring your digital camera with manual, point and shoot style cameras are welcome if they have a manual mode.
