Make Lightroom your workflow management tool.

Capturing your images is only the first step in making great digital images. Post processing, file management and organization of those images is an essential part of digital photography and there is no software package better suited for digital photographers than Adobe Lightroom.

In this intensive, information packed 2-day workshop, students learn how Lightroom handles files, how to import images, create catalogs, how to organize images using Collections, Quick Collections, and rating systems.

Once students learn the importance and basics of the many organization functions we move into the fun parts! We place a particular emphasis on the library and develop modules of Lightroom to provide you with the essential skills to optimize your images while honing your craft and make them look their best.

Prerequisite: A basic understanding of computers and the Macintosh operating system is encouraged. This class will be held in one of our digital classrooms, Macintosh computers, and sample images will be provided.

Lunch each day is included.

Christine Moriello

Christine Mariello grew up on a fourth generation apple farm in the Hudson Valley of New York. Spending hours outdoors and among nature as a child made her introspective and sensitive.
As a teen, she always carried a disposable camera, photographing her friends and her personal experiences. She tucked journals full of poetry and writing away in a shelf in the corner of her room.  It is that quiet introspection she's had since she was a child that inspires her work.
Christine received her Bachelor of Arts in History at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY.  She spent her first two years out of college running the seasonal family business and working as a ski coach during the winters in Maine.
Christine came to Maine Media Workshops + College in the Summer of 2015 for the 12-week Photography Intensive program and received her Professional Certificate in Visual Storytelling in 2016. She now works at Maine Media Workshops + College full time as the Marketing Assistant and Assistant to the President.  She lives in Rockland, Maine with her golden retriever Violet.
