Produce portraits to thrill clients and make them sing your praise. Steve Sint's career spans 40 years and over one million portraits. His new book entitled Digital Portrait Photography: Art, Business, and Style (Lark Books) is due for release in fall 2008. In this workshop, Steve covers the business of portrait photography, how to make subjects look better, be more relaxed, and ultimately more satisfied with their portraits. The workshop begins with tips on how to bond with subjects, frame and pose them. Students learn how to identify, hide, and minimize subjects' physical flaws while accentuating their strengths. Every morning advanced demonstrations with models incorporate posing and advanced lighting techniques that produce better quality lighting than a direct flash mounted in a hot shoe. Expect a week of immersion in indoor and outdoor portraiture learning techniques that can be easily applied to professional and personal assignments.
