In a time when it seems as though everything imaginable is going digital, hop on and enjoy the ride from film to digital print. This workshop is designed to help film photographers make the transition from wet to digital printmaking. The class covers all facets of the digital workflow, including the essentials of good scanning, Photoshop techniques for image refinement and options for output involving paper and ink combinations. Students learn to deal with issues of density, contrast and tonal range and local refinements such as burning, dodging, bleaching, edge burning, and spotting as they are executed in the digital darkroom.
