Delve into the basics of web design using Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver

Melissa Warp

In today's world, artists need to have a presence on the Internet. Many artists end-up hiring web designers to make a web site for them but in that process, they lose control of their own creative portal to the world. With today's software, building a robust web site no longer requires knowledge of complex code. Using Photoshop and Dreamweaver, this workshop covers the basics of building a web site, from preparing and assembling images (slicing) to creating a site outline and compelling visual design. By the end of the workshop, students will have all the tools to create a great web site and keep it current. A basic knowledge of the Macintosh and Photoshop is required. Students who have a registered domain name and ISP should bring that information, along with any images or videos they would like to incorporate into a site.
