In order to survive the ever-changing landscape of media publishing, journalists and documentarians need to diversify their skill sets. Very few people know this better than Bob Sacha. An award-winning photographer and multimedia documentarian whose clients and employers include, National Geographic, Life Magazine and MediaStorm, Sacha’s abilities span the gamut of content gathering.
During this intense weeklong workshop, students learn from Sacha’s first hand experience of gathering photography, audio and video in the field. As a photographer, videographer and producer, Sacha trains students to always consider the storyline when gathering content. Through daily lectures, critiques and demos, Sacha helps students develop, shoot and produce short multimedia documentaries about the local community.
Students should have a strong understanding of digital photography, and a good grasp on both digital audio collection and video. Students should also be comfortable working and producing in Final Cut Pro.
