Multimedia Crash Course (WS)
The swift emergence of multimedia has created a need for journalists and documentarians to learn the tools of the trade quickly and effectively. From juggling multiple recording devices in the field to producing in Final Cut Pro, this course is designed to introduce students to the basics of multimedia shooting and producing.
Through in-class lectures and daily shooting assignments, students learn, hands on, the ins and outs of multimedia. The end goal of the course is to produce a finished multimedia project ready for distribution.
Students should bring a digital camera, headphones, and an external hard drive (500gb Firewire 800). The school provides video cameras.
Students should have a strong understanding of photography and digital workflow, and a basic understanding of video, audio, and Final Cut Pro.
