Introduction to Audio Storytelling
Audio has continued to be one of the most effective means to tell compelling stories. Now with the burgeoning needs of multimedia, the ability to capture and create audio stories is necessary in a diversity of new outlets. Through hands-on demonstrations, lectures and assignments, students learn how to work with the gear necessary to develop and produce audio stories.
Going into the local community, students engage community members and institutions as a means to learn and use sound as a descriptive and powerful documentary medium. Students learn audio editing and mixing on the industry's standard software - ProTools. No previous knowledge of digital editing is necessary.
